OUR HISTORY
LaserPin S.r.l. is based in Cologno Monzese, Milan (Italy).
It began its manufacturing activities in 1949 under the name MIATEX, a company that produced components for the textile industry and then diverged and specialized in the development of units, machinery and components first for fibrillation, then micro perforation for various types of materials. Later, it also expanded its activities into the field of hot micro perforation. In fact, Miatex was the first company to apply it to plastic films. He also developed a branch devoted to tools and accessories such as unwinders-winders.
In the late 1990s, production then expanded to stretch film converting and later into the food PVC sector, increasing the manufacture of slitter-rewinders and thickness reducers. Over the years, the Miatex company has designed and produced pre-cutting and multi-cutting units, embossing ones and other machinery and components for a wide variety of material applications.
Miatex has made history in micro perforation and fibrillation. With new ownership and generational change, LaserPin has expanded its production range since the 2000s, also designing and manufacturing macro perforators and remaining the point of reference for technical support and spare parts for Miatex customers. Also entering into material processing with laser units.
LaserPin staff, heir to Miatex, still works within its own historical walls, and currently specializes in the production of perforating machineries for moving materials for a wide range of applications in industries such as packaging and packing, textiles, automotive, food, medical, agriculture, and sectors such as rope-making or nets/webs/twines, synthetic textiles, and synthetic lawns for fibrillation.
Company policy is the use of Italian/German metals and all processed in Italy. This ensures a clear difference in the quality and reliability of our technologies and metal parts.
Thanks to its long and extensive experience, LaserPin today faces Industry 4.0 and is a reliable partner, with invaluable “know-how” inherited from Miatex and an experience of more than 70 years offering its customers in the global market solutions for their specific needs, working in the most complete customization.
